What Does an Estate Auction Cost? Fees and Commission Explained

There is no upfront cost. We are paid a commission from what the auction brings, which means our incentive and yours point the same direction.

No upfront fees

The walkthrough, valuation opinion, cataloging, photography, marketing, and pickup-day management are all included. You do not write a check before the auction runs.

Commission from proceeds

Our fee comes out of what the auction produces. If a lot sells for more, we earn more — so there is no incentive to dump inventory cheaply just to be done.

What is included

On-site cataloging and photography, listing descriptions, marketing to our bidder list and auction platforms, bidder questions, pickup-day staffing, and an itemized settlement statement.

  • Free walkthrough and honest assessment
  • Full cataloging and photography on site
  • Marketing and bidder support
  • One scheduled pickup window
  • Itemized payout statement

How to compare offers

When comparing companies, ask what the total net looks like, not just the percentage. Reach, catalog quality, and photography drive the gross — a lower rate on a poorly marketed auction nets you less.

Frequently asked questions

Are there hidden fees?
No. Terms are stated up front before we begin cataloging.
When do I get paid?
